Since 2020, the Knights of Columbus in Greene have provided funds to purchase outdoor winter clothing and boots for a few families in need in Butler County, Iowa.  

With limited resources for this project, only a few children are recommended by their agency workers, and we have been able to serve ten to twelve kids each year.

In 2025, B.C.V.O.W. received a grant from the First Presbyterian Church in Greene, as well as the “Round Up” funds from Brother’s Market in Parkersburg, which will be used to expand this project.

We have found that there is a great need for winter clothing for kids in Butler County and we are excited to expand this program to serve even more kids!
